마야 오조히니크 Maja Osojnik

유고슬라비아 출신, 비엔나에서 주로 활동하는 마야 오조히니크는 비엔나 대학에서 음악과 예술, 레코딩 엔지니어링을 전공했고 비엔나 음악원에서 보컬을 전공했다. 소리를 기계적 특성을 바탕으로 변형시키고 분절시켜 이를 확장할 수 있는 악기로서의 레코더(Recorder)를 활용하는 작업을 진행하고 있다.

Sato Yukie is Japanese musician who lives in Seoul.He is a leader of Kopchangjeongol, the first Japanese band debuted in Korea 1999.In 1999 Kopchangeongol 1st album “Annyonghashimunikka?” was released.And then he also started as a free improvisation artist in Korea.He plays all over the world (Korea, Japan, China, Europe, etc) with Han Bennink, Phil Minton, Otomo Yoshihide, etc.He released many free improvisation CDs, “Ride a White Rabbit / Yumi Hara Cawkwell+Sato Yukie”, “Instant Demo / Choi Sun Bae+Sato Yukie”, “Nippara Tokyo / Phil Minton, Sato Yukie, etc”, “Sato Yukie Solo 1977-2000”, etc, etc.From 2003 he is holding experimental/avant-garde/free improvisation concert event called “Bulgasari” in Korea. Many artists from all over the world play there and he contributes to development of Korean underground culture.He has many gigs with butoh dancers, contemporary dancers, performance artists, live paintings, visual artists, multimedia artists and he is also working for music of film, drama and play.In 2009 Sato Yukie 1st solo album “Lovely You” was released.In 2010 he got a prize for contribution to Korean underground culture.In 2011 Kopchangeongol 2nd album “Dance with Me” was released.In 2011-12 he appears on the musical for multiethnic families called “Marina & Vijay” (music director/actor).

박다함 Park Daham

박다함은 1986년 인천 출생. 노이즈 뮤지션. 2005년부터 Relay와 Bulgasari에서 활동을 시작하며 노이즈 음악과 즉흥연주에 집중하고 있다. 같은 해 “FLICKER BEGINS”라는 노이즈 음악 프로젝트를 시작했으며, 이 프로젝트는 추후“불길한 저음”으로 발전된다. 주로 스프링리버브, 앰프스피커, 인버터스탠드램프, 음악재생장치 등으로 피드백을 이용한 연주를하고 있다. 2007년부터는 자발적으로 인디씬 안에서 공연을 기획하고 있다. 현재는 문래동에 위치한 공연장 로라이즈를 친구들과함께 운영하고, 두리반에서 파생된 자립음악생산조합의 멤버로 활동중이다. http://soundcloud.com/parkdaham

Park Daham Born 1986 in Incheon. Noise musician. Started to play noise in concerts as Relay and Bulgasari in 2005. Since then, has been concentrating in noise music and improvisation. Started “FLICKER BEGINS”, his noise music project in the same year, which devleoped into “Master Musik” later on. Uses spring reverb, amp speaker, inverter stand lamp, music playback devices to make spastic feedback. Since 2007, has been voluntarily planning gigs in the indie scene. 박케빈 Kevin Parks

뉴욕 출신인 Kevin Parks는 현재 대구가톨릭대학교 음악대학에서 후학을 양성하고 있는 활동적인 작곡가이자 즉흥 연주자이다. Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music를 졸업했으며, 이후에 Dartmouth College에서 예술석사학위(M.A.)를 받았다. New York의Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy에서 잠시 일을 한 후에, 서울예술대학에서 컴퓨터음악을 가르친 바 있으며, 현재University of Virginia에서 박사 학위 과정을 밟고 있다. 그는 Charles Dodge와 Curtis Bahn, Noah Creshevsky, Larry Polansky, Jon Appleton, Christian Wolff, Judith Shatin, Ted Coffey 및 Matthew Burtner와 함께 작곡을 공부했다.

Originally from New York, Kevin Parks is an active composer and improviser currently teaching at Catholic University of Daegu, School of Music. A graduate of Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music, Kevin later received his M.A. from Dartmouth College. After working briefly at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, Kevin taught computer music at the Seoul Institute of the Arts and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in composition at the University of Virginia.
Kevin has studied composition with Charles Dodge, Curtis Bahn, Noah Creshevsky, Larry Polansky, Jon Appleton, Christian Wolff, Judith Shatin, Ted Coffey, and Matthew Burtner.

João Castro Pinto started his creative activity as a sound and intermedia artist in the 90’s. The main output of his artistic production comprehends the domains of sound art, experimental electroacoustic / tape music and intermedia research, in a transdisciplinary perspective of confrontation, concerning the new digital media. Since 2002 he’s been the artistic director and producer of the Hertzoscópio – Experimental and Transdisciplinary Arts Festival. His academic path is reflected in his works as it also indicates which are the main artistic perspectives and ideas of his interest. He has studied Philosophy at the New University of Lisbon and is currently concentrated in his Ph.D. studies in Computer Music @ the U.C.P. (C.I.T.A.R. – Research Center for Science and Technology of the Arts) in Porto, Portugal. His fundamental artistic intent resides on the exploration and recreation of natural sound and visual elements that are abducted from their original context trough digital recording technologies, and then recreated in another context and space-time that intends to create a deep inner experience. The path of the artistic experience that leads to the discovery and conquer of this inner-space (or that leads to the immersion in it), constitutes the center of the experimental & trans-disciplinary researches, practices/concerns of João Castro Pinto. J. 진상태는 1975년 서울에서 태어났다. 류한길, 최준용, 홍철기와 함께 2004년 즉흥음악 공연시리즈 ‘릴레이(RELAY)‘에서 데뷔해 지금까지 전자즉흥음악을 해오고 있다.기본적으로 그는 그의 경험을 바탕으로 사물을 악기화시켜 즉흥음악에 이용하는 작업을 바탕에 두고 있다. 주로 오픈된 하드디스크를 메인악기로 연주하고 있으며 랩탑, AM라디오, 자동차 경적 등을 연주한다. 또한 라디오를 마이크 대신 리시버로 이용해 녹음을 하는 필드레코딩 작업도 진행해오고 있으며 영상작가 최정호와 함께 ‘연주운전’이라는 비디오 작품을 만들기도 했다. 2008년부터는 즉흥음악을 위한 작은 공간 ‘닻올림‘을 만들어 수차례의 공연과 레코딩세션을 기획해왔으며 현재도 진행중이다. 이 공간은 일본의 음악가 오토모 요시히데(Otomo Yoshihide)의 공간 ‘GRID605‘에 영감을 받아 만들었다. 2012년 10월에는 3일간의 즉흥음악 페스티벌 ‘닻올림픽’을 기획하여 성공적으로 마무리 하였다.http://popmusic25.com http://dotolim.com

Jin Sangtae(‘Sangtae’ is given name) was born in Seoul. 1975. in 2003 he was inspired improvised music and noise music. and then he decided to change musical direction. in 2004 he became one of the member of improvised concert series ‘RELAY’. he maintain his works with them. 마키노 타쿠마 Makino Takuma

마키노 타쿠마는 일본 출신의 기타리스트로서 전기기타를 주로 연주한다. 2003년에 YUSAWAN이라는 밴드의 멤버로서 처음 음악을 시작하게 되었고 YUASAWAN은 2012년까지 총 4장의 음반을 발매하였다. 2007년부터 2009년까지는 오토모 요시히데의 공연장인 GRID605의 운영을 맡기도 하였다. 그때부터 그는 다양한 음악가들과 즉흥연주를 시작하여 2008년에는 아츠히로 이토(Optrum)와의 듀오 연주가 포함되어 있는 ‘In the suburbs’라는 솔로 음반을 발표하였다. 그리고 같은 해에 그는 요시다 유키(erhu), 하토리 마사노리(콘트라베이스), 나카오 칸지(드럼, 색소폰, 클라리넷)와 함께 인스트러멘탈 밴드인 ‘NRQ'(New Residential Quarters)을 조직하다. NRQ는 2010년에 발표한 첫 음반 ‘Old Ghost Town’에 이어 2012년에는 두 번째 음반 ‘No-manzu Rando’을 발표하였다. 두 번째 음반에는 여성 가수 ‘mmm’과 함께한 “No Man’s Land, I was said”라는 곡이 실려있다.

Makino Takuma – A guitar player. Plays alomost a electric guitar. Makino Takuma began his performing career as a member of the band “YUASAWAN” in 2003. “YUASAWAN” released 4 albums by 2012. From 2007 to 2009, he was a manager of Otomo Yoshihide’s event space “GRID605”. From the time, he started free improvisation with a variety of players. In 2008, he released the solo album “In the suburbs”, which included the duo improvisation with Ito Atsuhiro(Optrum). In 2008, Makino and Yoshida Yuki(erhu) and Hattori Masanori(contrabass) and Nakao Kanji(drums,sax,clarinet) formed an instrumental band “NRQ”. “NRQ” stands for “New Residential Quarters”. In 2010, NRQ released the first album “Old Ghost Town”, and in 2012 They released the second album “No-manzu Rando”. In the second album, they featured the female singer “mmm” in the song named “No Man’s Land, I was said”.
