연주자 소개

H E X

H E X는 덴마크 코펜하겐 출신의 자유로운 형식의 트랜스 노이즈 듀오다. H E X의 음악은 펑크의 육체성과 즉흥적인 노이즈의 개방적인 낭비를 엮어낸다. 악기들은 변형을 거듭하며 친밀한 일렉트로닉 광기와 격렬하게 계단식으로 이어지는 맥박으로 변모하며 테크노에서 다크 앰비언트, 포스트 메탈, 프리 재즈에 이르기까지 폭넓은 영향을 받았고, 주기적이고 오컬트적인 심장이 꾸준히 뛰고 있다. 최신 앨범인 “ms vodou”는 2020년 덴마크 뮤직 어워드에서 올해의 실험 앨범 후보에 올랐습으며  지난 10년 이상 덴마크 및 국제 언더그라운드 음악계에서 존경과 찬사를 받아온 기타리스트 Lars Bech Pilgaard 라스 베크 필고르, 드러머 Anders Bach 아너스 바크 의 2인조로 구성되어 있다.

H E X는 전설적인 일본 뮤지션 이치라쿠 요시미츠 (aka DORAVIDEO)와 함께한 새 앨범을 2023년 4월 20일에 덴마크 레이블 Wetwear를 통해 스트리밍 / CD / 카세트로 발매 예정이다.

H E X is a free-form trance-noise duo from Copenhagen, Denmark. The music of H E X weaves the physicality of punk with the open-ended wastes of improvised noise. Instruments mutate and transform into a hivemind of intimate electronic madness and fiercely cascading pulses. Influences span far and wide from techno to dark ambient, post-metal to free-jazz, with a steady, beating heart for the cyclical and the occult. Their latest album, “ms vodou” was nominated as Experimental Album of the Year at the Danish Music Awards in 2020. H E X consists of guitarist Lars Bech Pilgaard and drummer Anders Bach, both revered and celebrated on the Danish and international underground music scene for the past 10+ years.

H E X is releasing a new album with legendary Japanese musician Ichiraku Yoshimitsu aka. DORAVIDEO on April 20th, 2023 through Danish label Wetwear on streaming, cd, and cassette.

 

백다솜 Dasom Baek

백다솜은 한국 전통 악기를 기반으로 한 현대적이고 실험적인 음악을 추구하는 창작자이자 대금, 소금, 생황 연주자 이다. 백다솜은 국가무형문화재 제 45호 대금산조 이수자이며 한국예술종합학교 예술사 및 예술전문사 졸업, 서울대학교 음악대학 박사과정을 수료하였다. 솔리스트 연주자로서 활동해온 백다솜은 금호 영아티스트, KBS국악관현악단 협연, 동아국악콩쿠르 2위, 박록주국악경연대회 최우수, 난계국악경연대회 대상, ASEAN-KOREA Flute Festival, International Flute Festival 한국 대표 플루티스트로 연주 등 국내외에서 활발한 활동을 해왔다. 2019년 뉴욕 아트 오마이 (Art OMI) 레지던시 펠로우로 선정되어 해외 아티스트들과 다양한 협업을 통해 경계 없는 활발한 작업을 하고 있으며 이후 백다솜 콘서트를 열며 본격적인 창작자의 길을 걷게 되었다. 울산문화재단 주관인 2020 APaMM 쇼케이스 아티스트 당선, 주독일한국문화원 주관인 Jazzkorea Festival 2020 아티스트로 선정되었으며 같은 백다솜의 1집 <무(無): Nothingness> 를 발표하였다. 2021년에는 세계 최대 축제인 SXSW에 쇼케이스 아티스트로 당선이 되었으며 국립국악원 사랑방중계 온라인 콘서트, 그녀의 작품 거울도시 등 다양한 작품을 이어나가고 있으며 다른 악기와 전자음향과 함께 작업하며 그녀만의 소리가 담긴 이야기를 확장시켜 나가고 있다. https://www.dasombaek.com

Dasom Baek  is a composer, improviser, lecturer and performer of traditional Korean instruments, including Daegeum, Sogeum, Danso and Saenghwang. Dasom pursues ground-breaking and modern music rooted in traditional Korean instrumental performance. She is a Certified Master of Important Intangible Cultural Asset, no.45. She has achieved Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Korea National University of Arts, and is currently undertaking a PhD course at Seoul National University. An active soloist, she has performed as a Kumho Young Artist and played a concerto with the KBS Gugak Orchestra. She has won both the Park Rokju Gugak Contest and Nanggye Gugak Contest, whilst achieving 2nd place at the Dong-A Gugak Competition. She has also represented Korea at the ASEAN-KOREA International Flute Festival. Active both at home and abroad, in 2019 she was selected as a fellow for the OMI Music program in New York, collaborating with various genres of musicians from different countries. Subsequently, she held a solo concert showcasing her compositions, marking a key milestone in her path to becoming a fully-fledged composer.

She was selected to play at the 2020 APaMM showcase, organized by the Ulsan Cultural Foundation, and at the Jazzkorea Festival 2020, organized by the Korean Cultural Centre in Germany. In August of the same year she released her debut album, titled <무(無):  Nothingness>. In 2021 she was selected as a showcase artist at SXSW Festival and also had a solo concert at the National Gugak Center in Seoul. She is currently working on her second album, entitled ‘Mirror City’, incorporating more electronic elements to complement her traditional sounds. https://www.dasombaek.com

노은실 Eunsil Noh 

공연예술가, 소리꾼, 보컬리스트로 활동하고 있는 노은실은 목소리를 매개로 자신만의 예술적 언어를 구축 하고 있는 예술가이다. 한국예술종합학교 예술사 판소리를 전공하고 체코 국립예술학교 DAMU Alternativve Theatre &Puppet과로 유학길을 떠나 국내 외로 판소리의 연극성과 오브제를 결합한 공연을 선보이고 있는 퍼포머이기도 하다. 근래에는 본인의 표현적 한계를 뛰어넘고자 목소리를 재료삼아 시청각적 퍼포먼스를 실험, 시도하고 있으며 스스로가 생각하는 목소리예술이라는 개념을 바탕으로 사운드 퍼포먼스와 즉흥 협연을 시도하고 있다. 아직은 낯설지만 목소리가 가지고 있는 원시적인 에너지와 그 아름다움을 관객들과 교감할 날들을 고대하며 목소리로 표현하는 세계, 그 영역을 조금씩 넓혀나가고 있다.

Eunsil Noh is a performer, sound artist, and vocalist who is building her own artistic language through the medium of voice. After majoring in pansori and art history at Korea National University of Arts, she studied abroad at the DAMU Alternativve Theatre &Puppet Department at the Czech National University of Arts, and has been presenting performances that combine pansori’s theatricality with objects in Korea and abroad. Recently, he has been experimenting and trying audiovisual performances using voice as a material to surpass his expressive limits, and he has been trying sound performances and improvised collaborations based on his concept of voice art. She is looking forward to the day when she will be able to communicate the raw energy and beauty of the voice with the audience, and is gradually expanding the world of voice expression.

진상태 Jin Sangtae

진상태는 자신의 경험으로 알게 된 사물들에 자신의 관심사를 투사하여 발음체로 전환, 그것들을 공간에 재배치하는 음악 연주를 이어오고 있다. 주로 해체된 하드디스크와 연결될 수 있는 여러 사물/물질들을 조합해 자신의 악기로 주로 연주해 오고 있다. 또한 레코딩 작곡 작품 ‘Year‘를 2015 년부터, 시각예술가 김인경과의 오디오비주얼 듀오 중간자’를 2019년 부터 진행하고 있다. 기획자로는 2008년부터 즉흥음악 공간 ‘닻올림‘ 에서  ‘닻올림 연주회’, 즉흥음악 페스티벌 ‘닻올림픽’ 을 기획해 오고 있다. http://popmusic25.com

Jin Sangtae performs with non-musical objects collected through his experience, projected into instruments, and then reorganized into space. He uses hard drives and several materials that can be connected as the main instrument. He’s been uploading online his composition ‘Year‘ via mobile phone every day since 2015. He founded ‘dotolim‘, a small space for improvised music, and has been organizing the ‘dotolim concert series’ since 2008 and the festival for improvised / experimental music ‘dotolimpic‘ in 2012, 2013, and 2017. http://popmusic25.com
